A poem for Advent 4C

I am working on a poem to share at church on Sunday. And, although I don't think this one compares to Mary's beautiful song, I am committed to keep working on it!



Magnificence:

By her faith,
But His will,
By her vision,
But His foresight
By her voice,
But His words,
By her body,
But His seed.

Here’s this girl—young, strong
singing His song…
and beating beneath her heart
lays justice in her womb,
growing in power, in passion
as she moves
swirled in prophetic bliss
erupting pure worship
together,
with God,
and Elizabeth,
and their babies
shaping an interesting community
of Divine and humanity
of innocence and age
of artistic expression and foundation

through these women,
by this God,
for this world,
my sweet church
joy is to come.

let it be so.
