I have learned so much about community and our place in it in the last few weeks.
I have learned to see the other side of my commitments, and what it means to others that I be honorable with my word.
I have wrestled with my pride...
and wrestled,
and wrestled
to overcome the idea that I could possibly have hurt other people by my action to 'live my best life, make the best choices for my family, and pursue health'.
I have learned to humble myself before others, apologize and seek forgiveness.
I have learned that small annoyances to me, may be the biggest blessing to people looking upon us from the other side of the fence, or across the street.
I have learned that to watch children in utter bliss...is bliss.
I have learned that God wants to give to me, and I want to receive and be thankful of God.
I have discovered that life happens one hope-filled 'quest'ion at a time.
I have learned not to talk on the phone when I am driving, working, or cooking...or wanting to spend time with my kids, talk with Mark or nurse the baby as nothing gets done as well.
I am sure there is more that I have learned or re-learned...like, don't taste really hot soup until it cools down (Duh.).
May we never stop learning.

I'm amazed by life, and it's amazed by me...
we're a strange old pair: me and eternity.
It don't make much sense, it ain't easy to see...
but I'm amazed by life, and it's amazed by me.
-Don Chaffer, Waterdeep: "Good, Good End"
What a mind boggling day:
An unexpected gift in the mail
An amazing connection with God and a friend
Bought two friends a drink
A morning of volunteering up at the school, partly in the rain...
An afternoon serving Levi, working and enjoying the weather
Daughter comes home distraught from teasing at school
Friend comes over to spend the night
Picked up 4 bags of farm fresh veggies at the co-op in Spring
Backed into a car trying to get out of the co-op driveway
Made it home to fix dinner
Do homework
Bathe kids
Talk briefly with Mark
Put kids to bed
and then sit in awe of the quiet.
Don't know what to make of today... I guess it would be best to count my blessings...
An unexpected gift of love
A great friend
A great school
Opportunity to grow and be compassionate
Healthy food for healthy children
A forgiving woman
Car insurance
Dinner together as a family
A husband who works hard AND does dishes
Peace and Quiet
A God that loves me.
Yes, yes that's it.
I pray you are feeling God's love where you are at today.
